Experience Fort William with your four-legged, furry friend!
Holiday… What holiday? Most of us have yet to experience a holiday abroad this year due to the ongoing global pandemic, however many people have grasped the opportunity to experience a staycation and explore what Scotland has to offer instead.
An advantage of staycations, has been that more four legged friends have had the opportunity to holiday with their owners too.
Treat you and your furry friend to a fun break away in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. We can’t always guarantee sunny weather all year round, but what we can guarantee is that there is plenty to explore and discover – not far from your doorstep.
Fort William, in the heart of the Highlands, is the ideal place for a staycation with your four legged pooch. Enjoy beautiful walks, incredible scenery, dog friendly accommodation and dog friendly eateries!
There are many walks in and around Fort William to explore, varying from easy to challenging, with trails suitable for all fitness levels:
Cow Hill – a moderate walk, Cow Hill is the summit that blocks the view of Ben Nevis from Fort William, offering views over the town and down Glen Nevis and Loch Linnhe
Ben Nevis – a challenging walk up Britain’s highest mountain, steep path throughout – definitely one for more advanced hikers and dogs
We understand that four legged friends need to refuel as well as their two legged counterparts, so we’ve put together a small selection of dog friendly places to grab a coffee and a bite to eat during your visit:
